The Yonkers Public Schools Foundation for Education Red Carpet Gala fundraiser hosted took place on March 20th. The event honored the visionary Robert Halmi, who is dedicated to opening doors to a new trade school for the young talent of Yonkers. Mayor Mike Spano announced the new school’s, The Robert Halmi Sr. Academy of Film and Television. Hosted by Chris Wragge of CBS News New York, with entertainment by Michael Carbonaro of The Carbonaro Effect on TruTV, this black-tie event was held at Lionsgate Studios Yonkers and was a Hollywood on Hudson night to remember.
